This pioneering spirit is what gave birth to AMERICAN shutters; on her return to South Africa after working internationally as an interior designer, Karina identified a gap in the local market for a product she had fallen in love with overseas; custom made, adjustable louvre shutters . At that time these products were unknown in South Africa, but today, thanks to the innovation and courage of AMERICAN shutters, wooden shutters are now-highly-sought-after by architects, interior decorators and designers and property owners.
