The first house tour of 2011 has to be one of the most unusual homes we’ve seen! Built in the Portland forests of the US, this curvaceous grand lady took seven years to be realised.

According to Absa’s latest House Price Index, small houses (80 to 140sq) have shown resilient growth in June and Jacques du Toit, property economist at Absa, says the price growth in the South African housing market may be nearing an upturn.
