To complement AMERICAN shutters’ Normandy and Basswood shutters, we offer wooden louvre blinds with the new look 63.5mm wide slats, a first in South Africa. This unique wider slat has a characteristic shutter appearance and is available in the same colours and finishes as our shutter ranges. The standard 50.8mm wide slat is also available in the Basswood range.
Also known as honeycomb blinds, these blinds are made of two or more layers of material joined at the pleats to form compartments that trap air between the layers, providing thermal and sound insulation and privacy while filtering outside light.
These blinds can be opened from top-down or bottom-up or a combination of both, giving increased flexibility to light control. Opened and closed with or without a cord, cordless cellular blinds are children friendly and perfect for use in nurseries and children’s bedrooms.
