We all have that one room in our home that is in need of a makeover, whether it’s a complete redo or a simple refresh.

Irrespective of which room it is and how much work it needs, installing shutters on openings will certainly elevate its style and increase the value of your home!

Send us a pic of the room you would like to make over, and in no more than 100 words, tell us your motivation and plans for the space.

Each month, we will be choosing a winner to go into the final in February 2019. At which time, the photographs and motivations of our monthly winners will be posted on Facebook for the public’s vote. The entry with the highest number of votes will win Decowood or Security Shutters including installation (to a maximum value of R20 000!)

Terms and conditions:

1. The competition is open to residents of South Africa, aged 18 years or over excluding employees of AMERICAN shutters, their close relatives and anyone otherwise connected with the organisation.
2. By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.
3. Closing time and date for entry will be 12pm on 28 February 2019. After this date, no further entries will be permitted.
4. The prize is as stated, and no cash or other alternatives will be offered. The prizes are not transferable.
5. Winner will have a choice of either Decowood or Security Shutters.
6. The maximum value of the shutter manufacture and installation will be R20 000.
7. Installation is only included for the following metropolitan areas: Johannesburg, Pretoria, Cape Town, Durban.
8. Installation date of the prize is dependent on manufacturing time and will be decided on in consultation with the winner.
9. One contestant will be selected each month based on judges’ decision. Monthly winners will be announced on Facebook.
10. The monthly winners’ photographs and motivations will be posted in a Facebook gallery for public voting at the end of February 2019.
11. The monthly winner with the most votes at 12pm on 15 March 2019, will win the full value of their shutter manufacture and installation (see points 5-8).
12. The winner will be announced on Facebook and notified by phone call. If the winner cannot be contacted within 24 hours, we reserve the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and select a replacement winner.
13. The winner gives permission to have his/her name published in a winner announcement post and to allow photographs of the complete installation to be taken and published.
14. Entry into the competition will be deemed as acceptance of these terms and conditions.
15. This competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook, Instagram or any other social network. You are providing your information to AMERICAN shutters and not to any other party.
